The campaign trail now turns toward debates between the leading presidential candidates, Vice President Kamala Harris, for the Democrats, and former president Donald Trump, for the Republicans; and vice presidential candidates, Gov. Tim Walz (D-Minn.) and Sen. J.D. Vance (R-Ohio). Scheduled debates include:
- Presidential debate: Tuesday, Sept. 10, in Philadelphia
- Vice presidential debate: Tuesday, Oct. 1, in New York City
