Request for Proposals: Multigenerational Approach to Opioid Use Disorder Prevention and Recovery Support at Essential Hospitals
This funding opportunity will support up to five members of America’s Essential Hospitals as they participate in Essential Hospitals Institute’s Multigenerational Approach to Opioid Use Disorder Prevention and Recovery Support Learning Collaborative to improve opioid use disorder (OUD) recovery and prevention services and programming for affected populations. In partnership with the Foundation for Opioid Response Efforts (FORE), the Institute—the research, education, dissemination, and leadership development arm of America’s Essential Hospitals—will establish and facilitate a learning collaborative among grantees to support peer-to-peer learning, specifically to improve multigenerational care and support within OUD prevention and recovery services and enhance hospitals’ capabilities to provide this care.

Connecting Communities to Care: Essential Hospitals and Mobile Health
With support from the Leon Lowenstein Foundation, the Essential Hospitals Institute will convene an eight-month virtual learning collaborative to support America’s Essential Hospitals members in strengthening mobile health delivery, with an emphasis on rural communities. Participating hospitals will engage in monthly peer learning, expert-led training, and collaborative problem-solving around mobile van programs. This opportunity is limited to member hospitals operating in New Mexico, Arizona, Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Louisiana, and Arkansas.

Improving Methods for Conducting Patient-Centered Comparative Clinical Effectiveness Research PCORI Funding Announcement
Seeking to fund studies that address high-impact methodological gaps in patient-centered comparative clinical effectiveness research (CER) including methods to support the use of patient-centered measurement, the use of real-world data (RWD) in multi-site patient-centered CER, methods to improve the use of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) in patient-centered CER, and methods to improve study design in patient-centered CER.

Advancing the Science of Engagement in Research PCORI Funding Announcement
Seeking to fund projects focused on engagement of partners in research, i.e., the lifecycle of planning, conducting, and disseminating research projects. This includes studies that build an evidence base on engagement in research, including measures to capture structure or context, process, and outcomes of engagement in research, and techniques that lead to effective engagement in research.
