America’s Essential Hospitals proudly presents Excellence and Innovation in Care: The 2022 Gage Awards, an illustrated guide to programs the association recognized with annual member awards for achievements in quality, population health, and COVID-19 care.
This guide documents the exceptional work by essential hospitals to improve the health and well-being of the people and communities they serve, including programs that improve care for open-heart surgery patients; target psychosocial needs that bring patients to the emergency department; engage patients with diabetes; care for students; and facilitate access to COVID-19 testing, vaccines, and treatment.
The guide provides summaries of and, in many cases, results for winners, honorable mention recipients, and highlighted programs in the Gage Awards’ Quality and Population Health categories. It also includes four programs recognized as “COVID-19 Innovations,” a temporary category first added in 2021.
