On May 11, the administration announced a new initiative to support mothers and families, publishing new federal guidance to encourage employers to provide fertility benefits and a resource center for new and expectant mothers.
In a new rule, the Department of Labor proposes to create a new employee benefit category to expand employers’ ability to provide fertility-related treatments. The proposed rule also eases statutory and regulatory burdens to make in vitro fertilization and other fertility treatments more affordable.
The Department of Health and Human Services launched Moms.gov, providing resources, information, and help for new and expecting mothers. The website aims to meet the needs of parents who face difficult or unexpected pregnancies and ensure their well-being.
The website provides information on accessing pregnancy support, nutrition, , and TrumpRx. Moms.gov provides links to resources on preconception health, substance use, infections, and health conditions.
