Improving Community Infrastructure: Lessons from Detroit

Date: Wednesday, August 16, 2017

Time: 2:00 PM ET

Community infrastructure — including buildings, roads, sidewalks, parks, water supplies, sewerage, energy, and telecommunication — is a multifaceted social determinant of health. Compromised or lacking infrastructure components can seriously affect the health of a community. In this webinar, participants learned how Henry Ford Health System is working to improve Detroit’s infrastructure through community revitalization programs. Attendees heard about the diverse projects underway, how the health system engages its local community, and lessons learned from collaborating with local partners.
