America’s Essential Hospitals
Washington, D.C. – While we appreciate that CMS has delayed implementing the accelerated 340B remedy recoupment adjustment, implementing it in 2027 will only bring hospitals closer to the disastrous changes wrought by H.R. 1, and we urge CMS not to move forward with it at all.
Likewise, we disagree with the agency’s decision to implement more so-called “site neutral” cuts. These Medicare cuts threaten hospitals’ ability to deliver high-quality care to their patients and communities. Furthermore, the proposed 340B survey adds an unnecessary administrative burden to hospitals and runs counter to the administration’s goals of reducing that burden.
We urge CMS to implement policies that protect and strengthen America’s health care system, rather than dragging it down with draconian cuts and needless administrative work.
