If you are new to safety net financing or need a refresher, join America’s Essential Hospitals’ Essential Learning Series, “Safety Net Financing and Policy: Beyond the Basics.” This annual learning series will teach junior staff members the fundamentals of the various funding sources that help sustain the finances of hospitals that serve a safety net role. This information can help inform your organization’s advocacy efforts as well as efforts to leverage available funding to support your hospital’s mission.
In three 75-minute sessions, participants will have the opportunity to hear from association experts about the policies that affect essential hospital reimbursement, including Medicare, Medicaid, and the 340B Drug Pricing Program. In addition, participants will learn about the financing trends affecting essential hospitals and new payment and delivery system reform models that may shape reimbursement for essential hospitals in the future.
Each session will be held online and provide opportunities for peer-to-peer learning. In addition, participants will gain access to complementary online resources and tools.
