The National Maternal Mental Health Hotline provided emotional support, resources, and referrals through nearly 13,400 contacts in its first year, the Healthcare Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) recently announced.
The hotline, launched in May 2022, provides these confidential services to any pregnant and postpartum people and their loved ones facing mental health challenges. The no-cost, around-the-clock service is available by phone and text in English and Spanish.
HRSA offers a National Maternal Mental Health Hotline Partner Toolkit essential hospitals can use to promote awareness and use of the hotline to their unique patient populations.
Those who wish to use the hotline can call or text 1-833-TLC-MAMA (1-833-852-6262) to connect with counselors.
