America’s Essential Hospitals staff continue to meet with congressional staff to advocate for member priorities amid organizational activities at the start of the 119th Congress and critical appropriations and budget reconciliation negotiations.
The Senate remains focused on confirmation hearings for President Donald Trump’s cabinet nominees. Notably, the Senate Committee on Finance will hold a full committee hearing to consider the nomination of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. for Secretary of Health and Human Services on Wednesday, Jan. 29, at 10 am ET. The Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions will hold a nomination hearing for Kennedy on Thursday, Jan. 30, at 10 am ET. America’s Essential Hospitals will monitor these hearings closely to inform members of relevant developments.
