With the House and Senate back from recess, lawmakers will resume conversations this week on health care issues to prioritize for an end-of-year legislative package.

This week, committees will focus on drug pricing, medical debt, health care transparency, and how private equity impacts health care. Congressional staff also will continue work and discussions on artificial intelligence, clinician workforce shortages, diversity in training, maternal health, rural health care access, clinician mental health and burnout, and other issues.

America’s Essential Hospitals will monitor all upcoming hearings and alert members of notable actions.
