America’s Essential Hospitals has endorsed the Keeping Obstetrics Local Act (S. 5236), which would bolster maternal health care in rural and underserved areas.
The bill, sponsored by Senate Committee on Finance Chair Sen. Ron Wyden (D-Ore.), was introduced Sept. 25, just before members of Congress departed for October recess. The association looks forward to working with Senate lawmakers to advance this important legislation.
