The Office of Management and Budget (OMB) on April 11 released a notice of request for information for deregulation ideas.
OMB asks commenters to identify current rules to be rescinded or replaced and provide detailed reasons for their rescission. Specifically, the agency seeks regulations that:
- Are unnecessary, unlawful, unduly burdensome, or unsound
- Are inconsistent with statutory text or the Constitution
- Have costs that exceed benefits
- Are outdated
- Burden businesses in unforeseen ways
Comments are due May 12.
