For more than 15 years, Johnson has advised and advocated on behalf of hospitals, health care providers and suppliers, trade associations, and universities on regulatory, legislative, government enforcement, and transactional matters. Her legal practice focuses on Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement, Medicaid financing, academic medical center affiliations, the 340B Drug Pricing Program, regulatory compliance, and administrative and judicial appeals.
Johnson routinely helps clients identify and implement Medicare and Medicaid funding opportunities to support their mission. Johnson also frequently advises academic medical center clients on issues including Medicaid supplemental payments, graduate medical education reimbursement, accreditation issues, and contracting and fund flow arrangements among academic affiliates. Johnson has significant experience in federal legislative and administrative advocacy, and she routinely partners with outside litigation counsel to provide expertise in complex health care litigation.
Johnson joined Eyman Partners in 2013 after six years in the Health Care Group at Ropes & Gray LLP. Prior to entering law, she worked as a research associate at the Advisory Board Company, a Washington, D.C.–based research and consulting firm. She holds a juris doctorate from the Boston University School of Law and a bachelor’s degree in public policy from Duke University.
