HRSA Announces Maternal Health Grant Opportunity

The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) on June 17 announced a grant opportunity to support produce prescription programs that aim to improve nutrition access and health outcomes for pregnant and postpartum patients and their families.

The Maternal Produce Prescription Program (MP3) will award up to $13 million in fiscal year 2026 for community-based initiatives that increase fruit and vegetable intake, provide nutrition education and support, and build partnerships to increase access to healthy foods. HRSA expects to award up to 26 grants for as much as $500,000 annually for a four-year project period. Applications are due July 17.

Eligible MP3 applicants include nonprofit organizations, government entities, higher education institutions, tribal organizations, for-profit organizations, and small businesses. Applicants must partner with at least one health care provider and one community-based organization serving maternal populations in low-income and underserved communities.
