Hospitals want to provide care based on the best available evidence, but identifying that evidence and putting it into action can be challenging and time consuming.
The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) Evidence-based Practice Center (EPC) Program is a federally-funded source for independent, unbiased, and scientifically rigorous syntheses of evidence to support clinical practices. Essential hospitals can access findings from and participate in the development of AHRQ EPC reviews.
This webinar introduced the AHRQ EPC Program and its evidence reviews and provided examples of how these reviews benefit hospitals and health systems. Presenters introduced opportunities for association members to provide input, including sharing key challenges and decisions they face so AHRQ can focus its reviews on topics of importance to essential hospitals.
