Washington state confirmed the first COVID-19 case in the United States on Jan. 21. Essential hospital UW Harborview Medical Center, in Seattle, was one of the first hospitals to respond to the growing pandemic. Participants joined UW’s John Lynch, MD, MPH, to examine the early days of the crisis, unexpected challenges, and lessons learned, and gained insights to prepare for potential surges and future resurgence.
