Preparing for ICD-10: Tips for a Seamless Transition

Providers will transition to the International Classification of Diseases, 10th Edition (ICD-10) coding system on Oct. 1. ICD-10 will help providers better treat patients and more accurately code diagnoses and procedures for payment purposes. Attendees joined Shana Olshan, director of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services National Standards Group, to learn how the transition will impact their hospital and what they can do to prepare.
