Next Steps on Price Transparency and 340B Proposals

In July, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services proposed outpatient payment policies for 2020 that would harm essential hospitals and that America’s Essential Hospitals vigorously opposes. In addition to continuing steep cuts to 340B drug reimbursements and payments to off-campus clinics, the rule would impose onerous price transparency reporting requirements on hospitals. Participants heard staff experts break down these policy proposals, share next steps for advocacy, and field questions.
