Date: Wednesday, August 24, 2022

Time: 1:00 PM ET

The health care industry is a prime target for cybersecurity attacks as hackers seek to disrupt health systems for monetary or other gain. Hospitals must mitigate the increasing risk of these harmful acts by individuals within their organization, also known as insider threats, and recognize the harm they can have on patient care.

Participants heard experts from association member Harris Health System, in Houston, evaluate what an insider threat might look like and shared steps to proactively mitigate the risk. They also shared information gathered firsthand following privacy and cyber breaches within their own system.
