Legal Needs are Population Health: Medical-Legal Partnership
Date: Wednesday, January 17, 2018
Time: 2:00 PM EST
Legal needs of patients are a key social determinant of health that is often overlooked. Participants learned about the medical-legal partnership (MLP) approach to tackling social determinants and the resources offered by the National Center for Medical-Legal Partnership. Association member New York City Health + Hospitals (NYC H+H), joined by legal partner LegalHealth, shared how effective, sustainable population health interventions can improve essential hospital settings. The NYC H+H team shared research, practice areas, impacts, and financing strategies, followed by a lively Q&A with all presenters.
