Innovative East Alabama Medical Center Program Lowers Employees’ Blood Pressure

Attendees learned about the East Alabama Medical Center (EAMC) employee wellness program tackling hypertension. This innovative program provides employees experiencing hypertension with coordinated care, as well as resources for ongoing monitoring and management. After three years, EAMC has not only improved hypertension control among this population, but also decreased health care use and associated costs. Speakers discussed the development and successes of this program along with lessons learned.
