Leaders at essential hospital Christiana Care Health System, in Wilmington, Del., are joining health care providers across the country in innovating to curb the opioid crisis’ devastation. By finding “reachable moments” in the emergency department, inpatient setting, and community, the health system is helping patients get treatment and avoid overdosing.
Participants heard Erin Booker, corporate director of behavioral health at Christiana Care, share about the health system’s Project Engage and the upcoming Community Substance Overdose Support Program.
