Can Medicaid Managed Care Help Essential Hospitals Succeed?

Date: Wednesday, September 27, 2017

Time: 2:00 PM ET

Medicaid Managed Care covers more than 70 percent of Medicaid beneficiaries nationwide. Over time, the system has integrated acute and post-acute care, behavioral health, community-based providers, and social determinants of health. Some models use risk-based alternative payment models to promote contracts between managed care organizations and integrated delivery systems, while others create incentives for integrated delivery systems to contract directly with states.

Experts from Premier Inc. taught participants about the evolution of Medicaid Managed Care, successful models for hospitals that care for many vulnerable patients and how your hospital can succeed in the changing environment.
