The National Action Alliance to Advance Patient Safety is hosting a webinar series this summer on workforce and patient safety issues.
The first session, on June 27, will feature Cammie Chaumont Menendez, PhD, a research epidemiologist with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health, along with front-line practitioners who are implementing violence prevention strategies across health care settings.
The second webinar will take place on July 25 and focus on involving patients and families in safety. The third and final webinar, on Aug. 22, will focus on engaging boards and executive leadership on safety matters.
The National Action Alliance, a collaboration among federal agencies and private stakeholders, launched in 2022 through the leadership of the Department of Health and Human Services. The alliance aims to improve patient and workforce safety in health care and work toward zero harm. It focuses on supporting improvements in various health care delivery settings and mitigating equity issues in health care access and outcomes.
