The National Academies of Sciences (NAS) is offering a round-table discussion Feb. 4 as both an onsite workshop and webcast that will explore strategies to advance population health by understanding the impact of racial and ethnic disparities.
This workshop, Framing the Dialogue on Race and Ethnicity to Advance Health Equity, builds on two previous workshops on population and public health. The Feb. 4 event will include discussions of these topics:
- applying a health equity lens to the discourse on population health
- understanding how policies foster or perpetuate racial and ethnic health inequities
- advocating health equity and framing inequities
- integrating the promotion of a health equity lens across multiple sectors and health systems
