Hospital-Specific HAC Reports Might Contain Error

Hospital-specific reports released June 9 on hospital-acquired conditions (HACs) might have an error, according to an alert by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).

The reports might have contained the incorrect hospital name in Table 2. However, data contained in the table was correct for the hospital receiving the report. CMS will distribute new reports to affected hospitals.

All hospitals should review their hospital-specific reports and submit any questions to Lantana Consulting Group by July 12. As a reminder, reports should not be transmitted via email, as they contain protected health information.
