CDC Call for Papers on Population Health Improvements

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) invites authors to submit manuscripts on research, evaluation, and other work focused on population health improvement.

Selected submissions will be published in CDC’s journal, Preventing Chronic Disease: Public Health Research, Practice, and Policy.

Potential topics include a broad range of health conditions, risk factors, and applications, such as:

  • public health partnerships to conduct community health needs assessments;
  • care coordination approaches for high-need patients; and
  • data integration strategies to guide population health efforts.

The agency’s website offers more information on potential topics and submission guidelines. Manuscripts are due Nov. 16 and will be reviewed on a rolling basis.

Learn more about how essential hospitals around the country are targeting population health in their communities on the Institute’s Essential Communities site.
