Applications are now open for fiscal year 2017 State Targeted Response to the Opioid Crisis Grants.
The grants — awarded by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, Center for Substance Abuse Treatment, and Center for Substance Abuse Prevention — aim to improve access to opioid treatment and reduce opioid-related deaths.
Up to $485 million annually will be awarded to up to 59 entities, with allocations based on a formula of unmet need and the number of drug-poisoning deaths. Applications are due by Feb. 17, 2017.
