AHRQ Supports U.S. Antibiotic Awareness Week

The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) released toolkits that promote a framework for clinicians to improve antibiotic prescribing as part of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s annual U.S. Antibiotic Awareness Week, Nov. 18–24.

AHRQ’s Four Moments of Antibiotic Decision Making framework provides setting-specific materials focused on improving antibiotic stewardship programs, engaging front-line staff to improve prescribing behavior, and diagnosing and treating common infectious syndromes. The agency shares toolkits tailored to acute-care, long-term care, and ambulatory care facilities.
