The Evidence-Based Practice Centers (EPC) Program is accepting suggestions for treatment, tests, and methods of health care delivery that should be considered for extensive evaluation.
The EPC Program operates under the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality’s (AHRQ’s) Effective Health Care (EHC) Program, which reviews existing literature and aims to provide reliable information about the advantages and disadvantages of various health care options. The EHC Program has published summaries of treatment options for health conditions, such as cancer, diabetes, mental health, pregnancy and childbirth. Each summary is structured in a comparative-effectiveness style, offering side-by-side explanations of different treatments.
AHRQ has launched an online submission site to propose health topics for review through the EPC Program. Suggestions must include specific research questions and an explanation of the topic’s importance. AHRQ also recommends including potential external partners for collaboration.
