America’s Essential Hospitals has created a tracker highlighting funding opportunities available to essential hospitals under H.R. 6, the SUPPORT for Patients and Communities Act.
H.R. 6, which became law on Oct. 24, is the most comprehensive effort to combat the nation’s opioid crisis to date. The law takes substantial steps to improve treatment and recovery initiatives related to addiction and substance use disorders. Specifically, the law provides additional funding in the form of grants and demonstration projects.
The new tracker lists grants and demonstration projects under the law that will be available to essential hospitals, including state projects. The association will continuously update the tracker as implementation of the law progresses and the statuses of opportunities change.
