Stakeholders Needed for HHS Alternative Payment Model Network

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) seeks interested stakeholders for the newly formed Health Care Payment Learning and Action Network (the Network). Stakeholders can include private payers, employers, consumers, providers, states, and state Medicaid programs.

The Network will act as a forum for stakeholders to discuss how to transition to using alternative payment models (APMs). The Medicare Program has already begun to transition to APMs, including accountable care organizations, bundled payments, and patient-centered medical homes. The Network will support this continued effort, as well as the efforts of other payers, providers, and partners as they move toward greater quality and efficiency.

Further, a guiding committee, chosen from participants of the Network, will prioritize topics for discussion. Additional workgroups will also be convened to address specific topic areas. The Network will host regularly scheduled webinars and in-person meetings to share results. The kickoff event will be live-streamed March 25.
