Some preventive services may not be covered for people currently enrolled in Medicaid, according to a July 8 Health Affairs article. While the Affordable Care Act requires the expanded Medicaid program to cover preventive screenings, such as colonoscopies, for enrollees, coverage for these services is optional for people who are already enrolled in Medicaid.
