Providers interested in participating in July end-to-end testing of International Classification of Diseases, 10th Edition (ICD-10) diagnosis and procedure codes should submit a volunteer form by April 17. Approximately 850 providers will be chosen to participate in the July 20-24 testing period, which will represent a nationwide sample. Providers who participated in the January and April rounds of testing can test again in July without reapplying. Medicare administrative contractors and the common electronic data interchange contractors will inform providers by May 8 whether they have been selected to participate in the testing.
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services has previously released ICD-10 testing and other educational resources in preparation for the Oct. 1 transition to the ICD-10 codes.
