Starting this week, consumers can preview health plans and prices on healthcare.gov ahead of open enrollment, which runs Nov. 1, 2020, through Jan. 15, 2021.
This year, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) provided additional support to help consumers enroll in health care coverage, increasing outreach and education efforts and providing new navigator grants to increase the number of navigators and expand their services. Further, the American Rescue Plan (ARP) increased premium subsidies, allowing four of five consumers to find health care coverage for less than $10 a month.
CMS also released a report on qualified health plans, indicating more issuers are offering plans on healthcare.gov.
