CMS Seeks New Approaches to Improve Pediatric Care

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) seeks input on the design of alternative payment models to improve pediatric care.

As outlined in its Feb. 27 request for information, CMS seeks input on approaches to improve the quality and reduce the cost of care for children enrolled in Medicaid and the Children’s Health Insurance Program. Additionally, the agency is exploring concepts that encourage pediatric providers to collaborate with health-related social service providers at the state, tribal, and local levels and share accountability for children’s health outcomes.

Please submit comments and questions via email to HealthyChildrenAndYouth@cms.hhs.gov by March 28.

Contact Director of Policy Erin O’Malley at eomalley@essentialhospitals.org or 202.585.0127 with questions.
