CMS Extends Deadline for Medicaid Housing Program

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has extended the deadline for states to submit expressions of interest in the 2017 State Medicaid-Housing Agency Partnerships Track of the Medicaid Innovation Accelerator Program (IAP).

States by June 12 should complete and email an expression of interest form to MedicaidIAP@cms.hhs.gov with the subject line “Medicaid-Housing Partnerships.”

The track is designed to help state Medicaid agencies develop partnerships with local housing agencies to foster additional community living opportunities for Medicaid participants. Up to eight states will be selected to participate in the nine-month program.

Additional resources — including the expression of interest form, program description, and slides from a previous information session — are available on the IAP website. Participation is open to all states, except those that participated in this track in 2016: California, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Kentucky, Nevada, New Jersey, and Oregon.
