Opportunity to Participate in Medicaid Innovation Accelerator Program

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) is giving up to 10 states the opportunity to participate in the Medicaid Innovation Accelerator Program (IAP) to design, develop, and implement value-based payment approaches.

The 12-month opportunity is available through the value-based payment and financial simulations technical support area. Selected states will work with value-based payment and financial simulation experts through individualized technical support and state-to-state learning activities.

Interested states are encouraged to attend an information session on March 14 from 3–4 pm ET.

The IAP is a collaboration between the Center for Medicaid and CHIP Services and the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation. The program seeks to improve care for Medicaid beneficiaries while reducing costs by supporting ongoing payment and delivery system reforms.
