The Health Resource and Services Administration’s Office of Pharmacy Affairs (OPA) announced this week that the 340B Office of Pharmacy Affairs Information System (OPAIS) will be unavailable from Aug. 15 until mid-September.
OPA encourages hospitals to verify contact information for authorizing officials and primary contacts in the system before Aug. 14. This information will be used to create new login credentials when OPAIS relaunches in September.
OPA previously announced it will delay this year’s 340B recertification process while the OPAIS transition takes place. Hospitals should continue to monitor OPA’s website for announcements regarding the system relaunch, informational webinars, and the 340B recertification process.
