Providers have until June 3 to accept terms and conditions and submit necessary documentation to receive additional payments from the Public Health and Social Services Emergency Fund, known as the Provider Relief Fund.
The fund was authorized by the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act to support providers incurring health care–related expenses and lost revenue from response to the COVID-19 pandemic. HHS previously extended the attestation deadline for the Provider Relief Fund payments to 45 days.
The June 3 deadline applies to all providers who received payment from the general allocation before 5 pm, April 24. In addition to accepting the terms and conditions, providers must submit to the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) tax forms or financial statements accounting for annual revenues. Submission of these documents will serve as an application for additional funds, if the provider has not already received an additional general allocation payment.
Providers with pending cases regarding eligibility for general allocation payments with HHS adjudication will not be affected by this deadline. However, all cases needing adjudication must be submitted to HHS by June 3.
