During International Infection Prevention Week (IIPW), Oct. 18–24, the Association for Professionals in Infection Control (APIC) is highlighting the role of infection preventionists (IPs) in protecting health care workers and patients from COVID-19.
To honor IPs and promote infection prevention, APIC released a promotional toolkit that includes several sample social media posts to share, logos and infographics, and more. Essential hospital leaders are encouraged to download and share these no-cost resources.
APIC hosted a Twitter chat on Oct. 20 to discuss the role of IPS in preventing COVID-19 and flu. To revisit topics discussed during the chat, review hashtags #IIPWChat and #WeLoveIPs.
