The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) annual recertification process will end on Dec. 6. Covered entities that fail to create OPAIS accounts and conduct recertification will be removed from the 340B program.
Following technical difficulties with the new Office of Pharmacy Affairs Information System (OPAIS), HRSA restarted the recertification period for all hospitals on Nov. 3. Recertification had previously opened Oct. 24. Hospitals that started or completed recertification during the first period must restart the process.
Hospitals must complete their recertification through OPAIS. Before recertifying, authorizing officials and primary contacts must create OPAIS accounts.
