The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) announced in an email to providers a new government official attestation as part of the current 340B Drug Pricing Program recertification period. Hospitals that contract with or are owned or operated by a state or local government must now provide information about the government official attesting to that hospital’s classification.
At the time of registration, all qualifying hospitals must identify a government official that attested to the classification of the hospital. The government official must be someone outside the hospital organization who can certify that the hospital has a valid contract with or is owned or operated by the state or local government. This is the first year that the government official’s information must be included or updated as part of the recertification process.
The current recertification period runs through Dec. 6. All hospitals currently participating in the 340B Drug Pricing Program must recertify or they will be removed from the program. Questions about recertification or the new government official attestations should be directed to firstname.lastname@example.org or 888.340.2787.
