Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Xavier Becerra has again renewed the public health emergency related to COVID-19, effective Oct. 13. The determination was first established on Jan. 27, 2020, and has been renewed every three months since.
HHS remains committed to giving states and the health care community 60 days’ notice before ending the PHE.
