The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) will host an Oct. 15 webcast to show providers how to use the new Medicare Cost Report e-Filing (MCReF) system to submit cost reports for fiscal years ending on or after Dec. 31, 2017. The webinar will be held from 1:30–3 pm ET.
Hospitals will have the option of submitting cost reports electronically, by mail, or by hand to their Medicare Administrative Contractor. Hospitals that elect to file electronically must use the MCReF system.
During the webinar, CMS will provide a detailed overview of the MCReF system and review:
- changes to the system based on user feedback;
- how to access the system; and
- frequently asked questions.
The webcast will include a question-and-answer session.
Attendees should register for the webcast and can submit questions in advance to OFMDPAOQuestions@cms.hhs.gov with “Medicare Cost Report e-Filing System Webcast” in the subject line.
