A Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) webinar on May 1 will outline how to use the new Medicare Cost Report e-Filing (MCReF) system. The webinar is intended for Medicare Part A providers and entities that file cost reports for providers.
Beginning May 1, Medicare Part A providers will have the option of using the MCReF system to submit cost report data for fiscal years ending on or after Dec. 31, 2017. They can also mail or hand deliver this data to their Medicare administrative contractor. Beginning July 2, providers must use the MCReF system if they choose to electronically submit cost reports.
The webinar will include a presentation followed by a question-and-answer session. Attendees can email questions in advance to OFMDPAOQuestions@cms.hhs.gov with the subject line “Medicare Cost Report e-Filing System Webcast.”
