CMS Seeks Nominees for Technical Expert Panels

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) is seeking nominations for three technical expert panels (TEPs). The TEPs will provide technical input to CMS contractors on the development, selection, and maintenance of quality measures. The three TEPs will focus on the reevaluation of the Hospital-Acquired Condition Reduction Program scoring methodology, the usability improvement of quality measurement data to help patients, caregivers, and consumers make informed decisions on Hospital Compare, and the development and maintenance of electronic clinical quality measures focused on outpatient care. CMS is looking for varying areas of expertise for each of the three TEPs, More information on the areas of expertise can be found on the CMS website.

The deadline for nominations for the first two TEPs is Sept. 12, and the deadline for the last TEP is Sept. 19.
