CMS Seeks Input on Primary Care Innovations

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) released Feb. 13 a request for information (RFI) for input on initiatives to test advanced primary care innovations. CMS is particularly interested in feedback on mechanisms to encourage greater comprehensiveness in care delivery, improving care for complex patients, care coordination, accountable care organizations, movement to value-driven reimbursement, and the use of health information technology. CMS is seeking input from a broad array of stakeholders, including health care providers, associations, purchasers and health plans, social service providers, and consumers. Input must be submitted through the RFI document on or before March 16.
