CMS Releases Interactive ICD-10 Training Resources

Six interactive case studies on documentation and coding basics under the International Classification of Diseases, 10th Edition (ICD-10) have been posted by The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). The case studies include a variety of clinical scenarios and tips for providers and billing staff to ensure accurate documentation of diagnoses and procedures. CMS will release new scenarios on a weekly basis for continued ICD-10 training opportunities.

The interactive case studies are part of the Road to 10 online resources for small practices. CMS has previously released additional resources to help all providers prepare for the Oct. 1 transition to ICD-10.
