CMS Releases CEHRT Interactive Decision Tool

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) released an interactive decision tool to help providers determine their potential options for meeting certified electronic health record technology (CEHRT) reporting for 2014. To use the tool, providers will answer a few questions about their current stage of meaningful use and the edition with which their EHR is certified. The tool then displays the corresponding options proposed in the rule that CMS released in May. The May proposed rule granted flexibility to providers who are experiencing difficulty in the implementation of the 2014 edition of CEHRT.

CMS is accepting comments on its May proposed rule until July 21. Please contact Xiaoyi Huang, JD, director of policy, at or 202.585.0127 with questions.
